A Quick Word to Our Visitors

Greetings! Whether you are already here, (standing in the room, looking at your phone), or just checking us out online and considering paying us a visit, what you will see and hear when you visit a church that is part of our Network of Neighborhood Churches is going to be a bit different from what you might normally see and hear in a more conventional church. We are so glad to have you here. So here is a quick heads up.

We Are An Age-Integrated Church
Our gatherings are “age-integrated.” That means all ages participate together in almost all aspects of our worship, Bible teaching and fellowship time. We find that children are better children when adults are around, and adults are better adults when children are around. So, we keep everyone together most of the time.

In our worship we strive to be doctrinal sound, but also authentically enthusiastic and musically skillful. Getting excited and emotional is appropriate when you are standing in the presence of the One True God, the Creator of the Universe.

In our Bible teaching we seek to serve everyone, at all ages, on the same message. When everyone hears the same thing, we discover very quickly that not everyone hears the same thing. So, we need to talk about it.

This allows parents to unpack the doctrine of each message with their children and teens during our Shared Meal, or later on at home. It also allows couples to share their hearts with one another in response to God’s Word.

We have also found it works best to serve up just one substantial sermon for our hearts and minds to digest each week, and then to encourage everyone to put what they have learned into practice in the coming week. The insight is not the action, and knowing is not the same as doing. So, we strive to be “doers of God's Word and not hearers only.” (James 1:22).

You will see and hear us pray. We will share things we believe God wants us to share at our “open mic.” We will take part in Communion (i.e. The Lord’s Supper) together. Afterward there will be a time of socializing with a Shared Meal and just time to talk, weep, laugh and just be together.

Again, we are so glad to have you here. We hope you will enjoy your time with us. Please let us know if there is any way we can make your visit an even greater experience of God’s love toward you.
